For your listening and dancing pleasure we proudly present:
Maxine and Company

Variety is the key to making our customers happy!
Excitement follows Maxine & Company no matter where they play! Mixing an eclectic (and electric!) blend of all styles of music, this is one band that really cooks! We’ll take you back to the oldies, or we’ll have you doing the Electric Slide, dancing to Latin rhythms, or country two-step. Any way you like your music, there's bound to be a party happenin'!

Entertainment with a personal touch!
Adept at getting dancers up on their feet, lead singer Maxine delivers the goods with flair and personality in her unique easy going style, while the band sets the stage with music that makes you want to jump up and hit the dance floor. No one does it better, and the group's popularity keeps growing with each performance.

Memorial/Tribute to Kenny Ortega

It is with a very heavy heart and much sadness that I give you the news that one of Denver’s Finest Musicians, has passed away, Bassist/Vocalist Mr. Kenny Ortega.

There will be a Memorial/Tribute to Kenny Ortega on Sunday, November 30th, 2008, at a hall located at 7899 South Lincoln Court Littleton, CO 80122 from 5:00 to 9:00, Maxine & Company will start at 5:00 and then around 6:00 there will be a Memorial for him and music will start again with the Bobby Trujillo Quartet 7:00 - 8:00 and Freddie Rodriguez from 8:00-9:00.  We will have things to eat, but feel free to bring a dish to share if you desire.  There is no cover charge, as this is not a benefit, cards for the family are certainly welcomed.  I had the honor or working on and off with Kenny from the time I was 21 years old until now (don’t ask the age please (he he :) ).  The privilege was mine to be able to be the last band he played/recorded with before he left for his dream of retiring and playing with the best of the best in Cuerna Vaca, Mexico, where he passed away.

During the time I worked with Kenny, he was asked to do many many many benefits with me.  He never ever refused.  He got his stuff together, and went and helped us raise thousands in our time playing together.  This is only a bird’s eye view of the things he did while he was involved in my band, which does not include all of the things he did with other groups.  Therefore, it is with great honor that Maxine and Company will be hosting this event.  We are encouraging bands to sign up for a slot to play for this Tribute, honoring Kenny.  You can e-mail me via e-mail at mworth5656@msn.com or call me at (303) 995-9957.

Please feel free to share this with other musicians and encourage them to sign up as well.  Also, if you would like to share some memories of Kenny, feel free to email them to me at mworth5656@msn.com.
We look forward to seeing all of you there in this wonderful tribute to Kenny Ortega.

God Bless You All,

Maxine
